We are looking for an experienced Product Owner to lead the next-generation development of our DairyNet Mobile App, which supports dairy farm operations worldwide. You will drive the transition of our mobile ecosystem to a modern Flutter tech stack, shaping the user experience and functionality used by thousands of dairy farmers globally. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of mobile technology, IoT/connected systems, and agritech, while collaborating with a highly skilled engineering team based in Belfast.
Responsibilities / Tasks
- Own the product vision and feature roadmap for the DairyNet App.
- Work closely with other DairyNet Product Teams, engineering, UX, and product management to define clear product goals and deliver customer‑centric features.
- Translate requirements into actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items.
- Coordinate with other Product Owners to ensure product consistency across the DairyNet ecosystem.
- Drive innovation and bring modern mobile best practices into digital solutions for dairy farm management.
- Collect, prioritize, and assess feature requests with product management and system architecture.
- Maintain well‑structured product, sprint, and epic backlogs in alignment with all stakeholders.
- Perform trade‑off analyses and data‑informed decisions to achieve business and user value.
- Ensure the product roadmap reflects customer needs and the strategic direction of the DairyNet platform.
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Degree in Agricultural Sciences, Animal Science, or Livestock Management, OR several years of practical leadership experience in management roles on a dairy farm (e.g., herd manager, operations manager, farm supervisor).
- Strong general understanding of complex workflows or operational environments — ideally with exposure to dairy herd management.
- Experience working with or within agile software development teams.
- First experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar is an advantage.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and structured working style.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence is beneficial.
- Willingness to travel internationally (up to 10%).
