GEA Refrigeration UK Limited is a market leader in industrial heating and refrigeration solutions for the distribution, process, food, and district heating markets. We are currently looking for an Industrial Refrigeration Sales Manager. This is a technical sales role focused on consultants and end users within industrial refrigeration, heat pump applications, and manufacturing industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing sales both with existing customers and by establishing new opportunities. The role will involve working closely with consultants and end users to build strong partnerships that deliver profitable and sustainable growth. You can be based at any of our offices throughout the UK or work from home.
Responsibilities / Tasks
- Developing sales throughout the UK with existing and new customers, including consultants
- Qualifying sales opportunities
- Identifying workable solutions
- Completing heating/cooling calculations
- Selecting suitable equipment
- Producing preliminary layout and P&ID drawings
- Communicating with equipment suppliers and subcontractors
- Completing cost calculations for projects
- Finalising bids in terms of written proposals and finances
- Liaising with clients and presenting solutions
- Managing tender bids of projects, including dealing with day-to-day issues
- Handing over the sales file to our Engineering and Execution team for installation
- Cultivating and maintaining effective business relationships with executive decision-makers
- Communicating effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
- Managing your own schedule, including booking and attending your own appointments
- Conducting presentations
- Working closely with sales management to help drive the business forward
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Field sales experience in the industrial refrigeration industry
- Good working knowledge of refrigeration systems, including heat pumps and HVAC solutions
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Previous experience selling to end users in manufacturing industries
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- A customer-focused approach to partnerships
- Good business sense
- Initiative and enthusiasm
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- The ability to work calmly under pressure
- Good IT, budget, and report-writing skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
- The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Good computer skills, with proficiency in MS Office applications
- A full UK driving licence is required for this role
