Overview
As Senior Product Support Engineer, you will act as the technical expert for our separation equipment portfolio and serve as the escalation point for complex issues. You will collaborate with Field Service, Sales, Projects, Workshop and Spare Parts teams to improve equipment reliability and customer satisfaction across the UK. You will lead on commissioning, performance optimisation and CBM activities, and deliver technical training to engineers and customers. This role offers impact through shaping service delivery and supporting customers with advanced troubleshooting and data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support across the separation equipment portfolio
- Act as senior escalation point for complex technical issues and equipment breakdowns
- Collaborate with OEMs and engineering teams to resolve challenges
- Support commissioning, optimisation and performance improvement of customer equipment
- Review and triage technical support tickets and escalate as needed
- Identify recurring failures and recommend reliability improvements
- Lead and coordinate complex service activities on-site and remotely
- Deliver technical training to engineers, service teams and customers
- Support project installations with specialist expertise
- Set up, monitor and analyse Condition-Based Monitoring (CBM) systems
- Produce CBM reports and recommendations based on data
- Build strong relationships with customers, internal teams and manufacturers
- Contribute to improved service delivery and customer support opportunities
Key requirements
- Engineering qualification gained through apprenticeship, degree or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years' experience with separation equipment in a service, technical support or product support role
- Strong troubleshooting, commissioning and performance optimisation knowledge
- Experience interpreting technical drawings, manuals and engineering docs
- Ability to make sound engineering decisions independently
- Excellent communication skills for customers and stakeholders
- Experience delivering technical training (advantageous)
- Knowledge of CBM or predictive maintenance (beneficial)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and digital service tools
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK
