We are currently seeking a dedicated and professional Field Service Engineer to join our team in the Greater London area. This UK field-based role will require regular travel across the UK, with overnight stays and substantial travel required, and participation in an on-call rota, covering one weekend in every eight.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance, service, and repair work on SFT separation equipment at customer sites, as assigned by the office.
  • Ensure timely and efficient completion of all site service tasks, keeping customers informed throughout the process.
  • Prepare thoroughly for all site visits by ensuring all necessary parts, tools, and equipment are available and in good working condition.
  • Use correct working methods and ensure all special tooling is safe, clean, and operational.
  • Clearly communicate with customers, particularly when issues arise that may affect costs, performance, or the operational life of their equipment.
  • Support workshop operations by assisting with service and repair tasks when required.
  • Maintain clean and tidy working areas, both on-site and in the workshop, upon completion of tasks.
  • Ensure proper disposal of waste in line with customer and company guidelines.

Professional Conduct

  • Electrical knowledge is a distinct advantage.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety practices in the workplace.
  • Background in technical or process engineering.
  • Ability to work carefully, methodically, and safely, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Capable of working to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive and flexible team player, with the confidence and discipline to work independently both on-site and in the workshop.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment, with the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges.
  • Competent in the safe operation of heavy equipment, with knowledge of basic lifting and slinging techniques.
  • Physically capable and experienced in meeting the demands of a hands-on, physically demanding role.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK. (No visa sponsorship will be offered)
