Our site in Eastleigh, UK, serves as a Core Technology Centre for Oral Solid Dosage manufacturing equipment, with expertise in batch granulation systems and material handling equipment.

We are hiring a technically minded Solutions Engineer to support our sales team across Batch Granulation Equipment.

You will turn complex requirements into compelling solutions, drive order intake, and be a recognised specialist for granulation technologies.

This role requires proven capital equipment sales experience and fluency in English.

Based in Eastleigh, you will work at the heart of GEA’s global pharma business, engaging with international clients, developing tailored solutions, and collaborating with our regional sales organisation and process engineering teams to drive commercial success.

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Take ownership of the full sales cycle process for batch granulation enquiries – from lead through to signed order
  • Partner with regional sales teams to position solutions effectively within assigned territories, executing day-to-day sales within an agreed strategy and pricing framework
  • Ensure timely and consistent follow-up on all enquiries, maintaining a high standard of responsiveness
  • Participate in technical discussions and negotiations with customers as required
  • Analyse customer URS documents and define optimal technical solutions in collaboration with process and design specialists
  • Develop and deliver structured, persuasive technical and commercial offers tailored to key decision-makers
  • Manage pricing, costings, and internal alignment using GEA’s quotation tools and systems
  • Lead the creation and improvement of technical proposals, presentations, and sales documentation
  • Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, status updates, and reporting using the company’s SAP CRM platform
  • Manage structured project handovers to the execution team after contract award
  • Coordinate with the marketing team for region-specific campaigns, product launches, and customer engagement initiatives
  • Represent the Eastleigh technology centre as the global point of specialisation for batch granulation technology
  • Continuously develop your understanding of GEA’s technologies and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes

This position is permanently based at our technology centre in Eastleigh, UK.

Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally (approximately 30%) for customer meetings and trade shows.

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, or a similar technical or process-focused discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in batch granulation equipment technical sales, solutions engineering, applications engineering, or technical commercial roles, ideally in pharma, food, or process industries
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical Oral Solid Dosage manufacturing processes, ideally including high shear granulation, fluid bed processing, drying, extrusion & spheronisation, milling and integrated process systems
  • Proven success with multi-stakeholder deals and long sales cycles
  • Previous experience working with or within international technology providers
  • Fluency in English is essential, with demonstrated ability to operate professionally
  • Proficient in digital sales tools for opportunity tracking and pipeline management
  • Comfortable working in a digital, cloud-based environment using Microsoft tools for quoting, documentation, and collaboration
