Job Description Summary
Own the project control activity globally and drive consistent functional specifications and common global processes for projects implementation. Activities are conducted to better understand or ultimately meet the expectations of the customer. Executes within a well-defined operations framework.
Coordination of the daily work within the team and balancing their workload.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Serves as the technical leader/manager to develop a scope of work and plan schedule and monitor engineering activities for customer projects.
- Supports bid strategy to deliver the tender in an efficient manner, maximise customer satisfaction and increase probability of success.
- Provide technical leadership and interface with Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, Partners, Customers, GE Product Engineering, Sourcing, Engineering sub-contractors.
- Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
- Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
- Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- Coordination of daily work within the team.
- Balancing the team’s workload, so that customer requirements are met.
- Defines priorities with the sales team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Mechanical Engineering or proven experience of equivalent level.
- Several years of experience in tendering/project manager in the power industry, or proven experience working with projects in power grid, switchgear and power transformers.
- Demonstrated ability to work under very time constrained activities and good organization skills.
- Availability to travel a few times a year mainly within the UK, for site visit and/or client visits.

- Previous experience managing teams.
