Le/La Technicien(ne) de maintenance sur site Systèmes d’excitation est chargé(e) de l’installation, de la mise en service, de la maintenance et du dépannage de l’ensemble de la gamme de produits matériels et logiciels du portefeuille de la branche Controls Solution Services. Les clients sont principalement issus du secteur de la production d\’énergie et du secteur du pétrole et du gaz, à l\’échelle internationale.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Field Engineer participates as a Regional Service Team member
  • Lead and manage site execution of excitation or controls retrofit projects. Scope of projects includes one or more of the following: Excitation Systems (EX 2000, EX2100, Alterrex, DFE-Digital Front End), generator controls and relaying, electrical construction, static start (LCI) systems
  • Install and commission Excitation or Control Solutions hardware and software in a wide variety of machine types encountered in the Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Fertilizers, and other process industries
  • Troubleshoot existing Excitation or Control Solutions hardware and software installations on-site.
  • Supervise mechanical and electrical sub-contractors, and instrumentation de-installation / reinstallation
  • Supervise cable laying, meggering and connection
  • Lead and execute loop check and commissioning phase performing the functional tests.
  • Perform project management and technical leader duties.
  • Work to be performed at GEV and customer locations throughout the European (primary) with possible work locations throughout the US and globally.
  • Able to travel extensively and work significant over-time
  • Timely completion of service reports, invoicing packages, and other administrative requirements.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality.
  • Interface with other organizations in support of business growth initiatives
  • Conduct internal and external training

Required Qualifications

  • BA degree in Electrical / Electronic/ Mechanic Engineering, or Technical High School ( this is a must for Hungary)
  • Proven related work experience in Oil & Gas and Power Plant industry field activities
  • Solid Experience & knowledge of generator excitation systems or controls systems
  • knowledge in rotating equipment control philosophy (Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Centrifugal Compressor, Reciprocate Compressor) and their auxiliaries
  • knowledge in unit control panel (UCP), motor control center (MCC), direct current panel (DCP), distributed control system (DCS)
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills, ability to read and write English.
  • Possess a valid driver\’s license and passport (or able to obtain).
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision requirement; able to work independently; ability to prioritize, organize work, and meet deadlines.
  • Communicate professionally with customer and other team members
  • Experience with EX2100e, LS2100e Panels for Excitation TA
  • Strong knowledge in field devices, instruments and actuators (servo-valves, thermo elements, transmitters etc…)
  • Familiar with PLC & HMI installation

Desired Characteristics

  • Previous proven industrial field service experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with equipment that functions as a “prime mover”(turbines) and “driven equipment” (generators, etc.)
  • Experience with MK systems
  • Experience with older type excitation systems (Static, Bus Fed)
  • Electronical/Electronics and/or mechanical trouble shooting skills. “Hands-on approach”
  • Computer skills with familiarity with MS Office products.
  • Ability to learn other software tool applications to support work requirements

  • Il/Elle supervise et dirige l’exécution sur site des projets de modernisation des systèmes d’excitation ou de contrôle. Le champ d’application de ces projets peut être l’un des suivants (ou plusieurs d\’entre eux) : systèmes d’excitation (EX 2000, EX2100, Alterrex, DFE-Digital Front End), systèmes de relais et de contrôle pour alternateur, construction électrique, systèmes de démarrage statique (LCI).
  • Installer et mettre en service les solutions matérielles et logicielles de contrôle et d’excitation sur les divers types de machines utilisées dans les secteurs du pétrole et du gaz, de la production d\’énergie, des engrais chimiques ou d\’autres industries de transformation
  • Dépanner les solutions matérielles et logicielles de contrôle et d’excitation actuellement installées sur les différents sites
  • Superviser les sous-traitants mécaniciens et électriciens, ainsi que la désinstallation/réinstallation de l\’instrumentation
  • Superviser l’acheminement des câbles, l’exécution des mesures et les branchements
  • Diriger et exécuter la phase de vérification et de mise en service des câbles, en réalisant les tests fonctionnels nécessaires
  • Exécuter les tâches qui incombent à un chef de projet et à un responsable technique
  • Les interventions seront réalisées sur les sites des clients et de GEV en Europe principalement, mais aussi potentiellement aux États-Unis et dans d’autres pays
  • Mobilité : déplacements très fréquents à prévoir et heures supplémentaires fréquentes
  • Produire dans les délais prévus des rapports de maintenance, des documents de facturation et tout autre document administratif nécessaire
  • Garantir la satisfaction des clients avec un fort engagement en termes de qualité
  • Travailler avec les autres organisations pour soutenir les initiatives de croissance commerciale
  • Mettre en œuvre des formations internes et externes

Qualifications Requises

  • BAC+3 en génie électrique, électronique, mécanique ou diplôme d’enseignement secondaire technique (obligatoire pour la Hongrie)
  • Expérience professionnelle de terrain dans le domaine du pétrole et du gaz ou des centrales électriques
  • Solide expérience et connaissance approfondie des systèmes d\’excitation ou des systèmes de contrôle des alternateurs
  • Connaissance des principes de fonctionnement des systèmes de contrôle pour équipements rotatifs (turbine à gaz, turbine à vapeur, compresseur centrifuge, compresseur alternatif) et de leurs équipements auxiliaires
  • Connaissance des tableaux de commande d’unité (UCP), des centres de contrôle de moteur (MCC), des panneaux de courant continu (DCP) et des systèmes de contrôle distribués (DCS)
  • Solides compétences de communication, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit ; capacité à lire et rédiger en anglais
  • Permis de conduire et passeport valides (ou possibilité de les obtenir)
  • Capacité à lire et interpréter des schémas électriques et mécaniques
  • Esprit d’initiative ; capable de travailler avec un minimum de supervision et de manière indépendante ; capable d’établir des priorités, d’organiser son travail et de respecter les délais
  • Capacité à communiquer de façon professionnelle avec les clients et avec les autres membres de l\’équipe
  • Expérience des tableaux du système de contrôle d’excitation EX2100e et du démarreur statique LS2100e pour le segment TA Excitation
  • Solide connaissance des appareils, des instruments et des actionneurs (servovannes, thermoéléments, transmetteurs, etc.) utilisés sur le terrain
  • Expérience préalable de l\’installation d\’API et d\’IHM
