Job Description Summary: All activities related to the improvement of service technology, incorporating customer data or capturing the reliability, availability, maintenance, safety, and other performance parameters of engines/products. This includes hourly employees, both union and non-union, as well as managerial functions solely responsible for these activities. It influences departmental operations and is responsible for planning/execution. The role has a degree of autonomy but focuses on executing activities within an operational discipline covered by functional standard practices and procedures. Some judgement may be required, but this is typically done under guidance.

Roles and Responsibilities: Roles responsible for developing service design concepts based on user requirements and defining the allocation to subsystems based on the refinement of the design concept with SMEs in subsystems. Individuals in these roles conduct detailed industry studies to define specifications for features or components. They perform CTQ and requirements flowdowns, document their designs, and conduct rigorous reviews of their designs. Additionally, they capture service requirements and ensure that systems, subsystems, or component designs meet these requirements from installation through troubleshooting and repair to preventive and proactive maintenance. They understand the service vision and service process and can ensure that service goals for a product or company are met.

Deepening knowledge of a technical discipline. Utilises previous experience and acquired technical expertise to implement policies/strategies. Strong understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to perform their own work. In-depth knowledge of how their team's work integrates into other teams and contributes to the area. Uses a degree of judgement and has the ability to propose various solutions outside established parameters, but with guidance. Utilises previous experience and on-the-job training to solve simple tasks. Has access to the technical skills and analytical thinking required to solve problems. Can use multiple internal sources outside their own team to make decisions. A position at this level is likely a single contributor with proven interpersonal skills or leadership potential who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members.

Basic Qualifications: This role requires advanced experience. The knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
