As related customer equipment, facilities or infrastructure projects: responsible for project delivery, profit & loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of project related activities and resources. Impacts departmental operations and responsibility for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.
Key Role and Responsibilities:
- Project Execution & Delivery: Turnkey Projects or Product/Equipment-Only Projects. Responsible for overseeing the project and direct or indirect leadership and/or management of project resources for small- medium sized projects that may include equipment-only, suites of products, maintenance contracts or turnkey projects.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
- In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.
- Lead cross-functional project teams across engineering, procurement, logistics, installation, and commissioning.
- Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure project delivery on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, suppliers, and stakeholders, maintaining high levels of satisfaction.
- Oversee factory, site, and construction activities, ensuring compliance with design, schedule, Quality, and EHS standards.
- Monitor project progress, proactively manage risks, issues, and change orders, and implement corrective actions.
- Manage project budgets, contract administration, and variations, liaising with legal and commercial teams as needed.
- Ensure adherence to GE Vernova processes, safety, integrity, and core values throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support tendering, sales, and lessons-learned processes, contributing to continuous improvement and future project execution.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent with relevant Project Management experience.
- Willingness to travel for site visits during project execution and other business purposes.
- Ability to deliver results under pressure, meet tight timelines, coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, and manage project scope, resources, budgets, and risks while ensuring high-quality standards.
- Excellent English (oral and written) with strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
