The Project Management Leader is responsible for the successful execution of projects and/or project portfolios, ensuring delivery against contractual, financial, operational, quality, and safety objectives. This role provides strong leadership across project teams, drives customer satisfaction, and ensures full compliance with company processes, quality standards, and EHS requirements.

The role also has responsibility for coordination and oversight of the Erection and Commissioning Supervisor, project execution procedures, and the Ready to Manufacture function to ensure seamless project delivery from planning through manufacturing readiness, installation, commissioning, and final completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of contracts and project portfolios in line with business objectives, customer expectations, and company standards.
  • Ensure achievement of key project deliverables related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, risks, opportunities, claims, variations.
  • Drive planning execution and ensure on-time delivery of project milestones.
  • Monitor project performance through agreed KPIs and take corrective actions where required.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and support effective resolution of customer and supplier claims.

Erection, Commissioning, Procedures, and Ready to Manufacture

  • Provide leadership and oversight for the Erection and Commissioning Supervisor to ensure site execution and commissioning activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
  • Ensure erection and commissioning activities are properly planned, coordinated, and aligned with overall project schedules and customer commitments.
  • Oversee the implementation and adherence to project execution procedures, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance throughout all project phases.
  • Ensure procedures are clearly defined, communicated, and followed across the project team and relevant stakeholders.
  • Take responsibility for the Ready to Manufacture function, ensuring all required technical, commercial, planning, and quality conditions are fulfilled before release to manufacturing.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment between engineering, sourcing, manufacturing, quality, and project teams to secure manufacturing readiness and avoid delays or non-conformances.
  • Ensure smooth transition between project design, manufacturing readiness, execution, erection, and commissioning phases.

EHS Leadership

  • Take responsibility for rewarding and encouraging team members to proactively address all EHS-related matters in the workplace.
  • Participate in hierarchical and team safety visits and lead EHS improvement initiatives.
  • Set EHS objectives and measure performance, ensuring EHS contributes directly to the achievement of business objectives.
  • Lead by example by demonstrating safe behaviours, actively observing work conditions and practices, and providing constructive feedback.

Team Leadership and Talent Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a competent, engaged, and high-performing project team.
  • Set clear objectives, monitor results, and support continuous team improvement.
  • Identify and develop key talent within the organization.
  • Foster accountability, collaboration, and strong performance across direct reports and broader project stakeholders.

Customer and Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong customer (internal and external) relationships to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a key point of leadership in project-related communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure responsiveness to customer needs while balancing commercial, operational, and contractual priorities.

Quality and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with company quality processes, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Drive adherence to internal governance, reporting requirements, and operational standards.
  • Support continuous improvement in project execution, quality performance, and site performance.
  • Ensure proper management of NCRs, COPQ, punch items, and corrective actions.

Performance Measurements

Success in this role will be measured through performance across the following areas:

  • Contract and Budget Execution through KPIs, including: Safety, Quality/Continuous Improvement, On Time Delivery (OTD), Cost deviations, Claims (client and suppliers), Variation Orders (VOs), Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), Site performance.

Educational Requirements / Desired Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or Business.
  • Proven experience in Project Management.
  • Experience working with PMO structures and cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to manage project financials, execution risks, customer interfaces, team performance, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Language Requirements

  • Fluent English.
  • Second language preferred.
  • Third language appreciated.
