We are seeking a qualified Manufacturing Process Engineer with expertise in transformer manufacturing (preferred in Tanking, FA & Processing) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes, spearheading process standardization, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proficiency in transformer manufacturing, including understanding drawings, manufacturing procedures, and work instructions.
  • Provide direction and supervision for Tanking, FA & Processing; mentor and train team members to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Implement quality assurance and control measures and lead initiatives for quality improvement across manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and write clear, compliant manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Standardize processes to ensure consistency and operational excellence across all assembly activities.
  • Identify weaknesses in current processes and develop innovative solutions to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Share and implement best practices within the transformer industry, and train team members to execute manufacturing tasks at high quality and efficiency levels.
  • Introduce new designs and processes to manufacturing, ensuring Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles are integrated.
  • Collaborate with quality teams to conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and resolve process issues; act as the first line of support for production issues.
  • Support and participate in manufacturing quality gate reviews to ensure quality and process adherence.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with lean teams, participating in lean/kaizen projects focused on defect reduction and process stability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in assembling active parts within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience at a senior level in winding and winding assembly.
  • Strong skills in quality assurance and control, with experience implementing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in developing manufacturing procedures and standard operating procedures.
  • Experience in process standardization and optimization.
  • Ability to identify and resolve process issues effectively.
  • Competency in training and mentoring team members to execute manufacturing tasks at high quality and efficiency levels.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
