Job Description Summary

GE Vernova Grid Solutions, for its Power Transmission Business Line (PT), is looking for Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) Product Sales Specialist Leader caring about HVS Market on North Europe Area, pushing on our common green future and willing to join a leading company with a complete range of AIS products, with a specific attention for future on SF6 free solution.

The candidate will be leading a group of AIS Product Sales Specialist localized in different country around Europe being responsible of sales of AIS product on North Europe Area.

Job Description

In this role you will be responsible for AIS business development, technical prescription, co-ordination of tendering activities, product qualification and ensuring customer satisfaction.

You will build & manage in coordination with the local sales team, the right strategy for sales within his/her area of influence.

You will lead the actions for the growth in his/her area to achieve quarterly and yearly targets in full compliance with GE values.

You will report to Europe AIS Product Sales Director.

We are looking for a dynamic, technical skilled & sales-oriented person to be in the position to create, maintain and sustain the link Customers & Sales Representative and Factories.

Looking for challenges in a large multinational company and willing to make a difference promoting and selling HVS product, Service, Environmentally friendly equipment & as well digital solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Product Sales Team Leader in the Area of responsibility: you will be responsible for guiding, motivating, and supervising a group of Sales Product Specialist to achieve organizational goals.
  • You will coordinate daily activities, assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • As Team Leader, act as a bridge between management and team members, providing support, resolving issues, and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Formulate and execute strategy and sales agreements. Formulate deal structure, pricing, proposal development. Assist in customer negotiation.
  • Identify new opportunities with functional partners to develop new products and services for business growth. Utilize Lean Methodologies to improve proposal process.
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of sales territory, product lines, markets, sales processes or customer groups.

Anticipating the market need & instruct product line on product development.

Use prior experience and acquired commercial expertise to execute policy/strategy.

  • Most decisions are within a defined framework, but some autonomy in the final decisions for a project, product line, market, sales process or customers.

Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks.

Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems.

May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Essential requirements

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Strong oral and written communication in English.
  • Demonstrated substantial experience in a similar role in a high-voltage business with a focus on AIS products.
  • Available to work from the office in Stafford, UK.
  • Proven ability to analyze and resolve problems, ability to document, plan, present, plan market and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
  • Product knowledge of AIS (disconnector, instrument transformer live tank, circuit breaker, dead tank circuit breaker).
  • Strong experience with building trusted relationships with customers and managing commercial deals with major DSO (distribution system operator) and TSO (transmission system operator).
  • Demonstrated experience working with major EPC contractors.
  • Valid passport and driver's license.
