As a Lead Supplier Quality Engineer based in our manufacturing site and offices in Rugby, you will be integral to upholding GE Vernova's commitment to excellence in our supply chain. You will work to ensure that all supplied components and services meet our rigorous quality specifications, directly impacting the reliability and performance of our critical energy technologies. Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the quality of supplied components and services meet GE Vernova standards.
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to verify compliance with quality management systems and specifications.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to implement continuous improvement initiatives and resolve quality issues.
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions for supplier quality non-conformances.
  • Monitor and report on supplier performance, providing feedback and driving accountability.
  • Be involved in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Quality Planning (APQP) processes.
  • Participate in new product introduction (NPI) programs to ensure supplier readiness and quality planning.
  • Supplier on-boarding, supplier qualification, supplier development, supplier audit planning & assessment.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field, OR relevant significant professional experience.
  • Proven experience in supplier quality, quality assurance, manufacturing quality, or a similar role.
  • Comprehensive understanding one or more quality management systems, such as ISO 9001, AS 9100, AQAP 2105, AQAP 2110, or IATF 16949, and associated tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with an analytical and methodical approach to quality issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Nice-to-have qualifications
  • Professional quality certification (e.g., ASQ CQE, CSSBB).
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Experience working with global suppliers and multicultural teams.
