We are recognised for high-performance ship electric power and electric propulsion systems, energy management and automation and control systems as applied globally across the marine, energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.

We have a great opportunity for an experienced, self-motivated EHS Site Manager, with a drive for improvement and ability to make decisions to work in a fast paced rotating machines manufacturing environment. As EHS Site Manager you will report to the EHS Leader and work closely with the manufacturing team. Based at Rugby, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Actively work with the business to change and improve the HSE Culture
  • Challenge the status quo and practices and focus on identifying improvements
  • Provide support and guidance to stakeholders on continual improvements
  • Own the HSE KPI's, analyse the data, then drive tactical and strategic programmes for improvement
  • Manage and support risk reduction of high-risk operations, such as electrical safety, working at height, lifting operations etc
  • Liaise with external agencies such as Local Authorities, HSE and the EA
  • Undertake incident investigations and root cause analyses
  • Manage & maintain ISO14001 and ISO45001 accreditation
  • Review and update the company's EHS Policies and Procedures
  • Manage the internal audit programme
  • Eliminate waste and drive lean processes into the EHS procedures and practically on the shop floor

The ideal candidate will have the following skills, qualifications, and experience:

  • Hold a NEBOSH Certificate
  • Ideally be a member or IOSH and working towards CMIOSH
  • Have experience with maintaining ISO14001&45001 (auditing qualification not essential)
  • Experience of creating a strong, positive HSE culture
  • Have a pro-active and hands on approach to working
  • Ability to provide guidance/ make decisions
  • Pragmatic approach and ability to work with employees at all levels
