GEs Power Conversion & Storage business, part of GE Vernova, provides electrification systems that are critical to customers' power and energy needs for their high-performance applications. We work with some of the world's major energy, maritime and industrial organizations, helping to enable a transition to energy efficiency and decarbonization, including through our specialist motors, drives and control technologies.
The main areas of responsibility as QMS Leader include the simplification and compliance to our internal operational and transactional processes. The management of internal audits and customer qualifications as well as maintaining our ISO9001 certification. This is a critical role to lead the culture transformation of the Rotating Machine factory, as well as our System project business.
The candidate must possess the ability to solve complex problems, provide operable solutions, act with minimal direction on their own initiative, and be adaptable as they will work on a variety of continuous improvement initiatives in support of the organization. The candidate will work within the current quality team reporting directly to the UK Quality Leader.
Essential Responsibilities- Promote a culture of humility, transparency, problem solving and effective collaboration.
- Lead the quality culture transformation by actively collaborating with the other departments and using Lean methodologies to drive continuous improvement through standardised processes & tools between functions.
- Maintain ISO 9001 accreditation for UK P&L and lead any new industry compliance standards (e.g., IEC 80079-34:2020).
- Support the commercial teams by documenting customer prequalification requests and leading the customer qualifications and/or audits.
- Collect and analyse the customer satisfaction surveys and propose countermeasures to improve the overall customer experience throughout the business.
- Lead the document review process and maintain document controls that are in place and functioning.
- Proactively lead and develop the internal audit program defined by the group and the local management team.
- Co-ordinate and plan quality department training.
- Relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree preferred, or HNC, or equivalent NVQ level 4 qualification.
- Qualified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
- Root-cause analysis, corrective, and preventive action skills.
