Join the Installation team on the Doggerbank project and play a pivotal role in managing the critical path of Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) installation from initiation to completion of offshore construction. As an Offshore Project Engineer, you will strategically optimize the installation process onboard the vessel, owning the installation roadmap, and ensuring performance engineering of the installation. This is a unique opportunity to refine and enhance the installation of WTGs as we enter a more established phase of the project.

Location: Onboard the Wind Installation Vessel, Doggerbank Project, GE Vernova Wind Offshore

Rotation: 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off, 12-hour shifts per day (flexible to accommodate installation activities)

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily activities of WTG technicians to streamline installation performance.
  • Conduct weekly performance reviews with the installation package manager, offshore construction manager, and installation management team to assess progress and action trackers.
  • Propose and implement improvements with the construction team.
  • Capture and document daily feedback and lessons learned from team leads.
  • Assist in the compilation of the Daily Progress Report.
  • Analyse technical Root Cause Analysis (RCA) behind deviations and propose enhancements.
  • Support back office and package manager in implementing changes to the installation process.
  • Prepare technical documentation related to offshore installation works, including RAMS and lift plans.
  • Travel required to construction sites and project offices during off-rotation periods (occasionally).

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience in Offshore Wind Turbine installation projects.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • Experience in Offshore Wind Turbine Installation and heavy lift.
  • Strong understanding of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills for sharing knowledge on installation method statements.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
