M&E Estimator & Contracting Specialist – GE Vernova

Become part of a winning team and help deliver the Green Energy transition. As a key member of the construction department, you will prepare estimates for construction site setup and electromechanical works in HV substation projects during the tender phase.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse and qualify customer specifications on site setup, organization and electromechanical installation works.
  • Prepare costing estimates, tender documents and technical aspects of Request for Quotation (RFQ) for subcontracted works.
  • Lead interactions with selected subcontractors and participate in the tendering teams (planning, HAZID, …).
  • Integrate site works into the overall project schedule and conduct hand‑over from ITO to OTR.
  • Participate in meeting with customers and qualify the M&E supplier panel (qualification, site visits, …).
  • Contribute to health, safety, quality and performance indicators within the dedicated team.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Electrical Engineering qualification with around 5 years of experience in HV substation construction.
  • Strong understanding of engineering documentation (layout, SLD, cable schedules, BOQ, …).
  • Hands‑on knowledge of CDM application and relevant UK standards for electrical works.
  • Appropriate health and safety experience, training and qualifications.
  • Excellent communication in English and ability to report verbally and in writing.
  • IT proficiency including information systems and office packages.
  • Additional language proficiency in European languages is an advantage.

Travel & Location

Office‑based position with required travel to subcontractors and project sites across the North Europe region.
