In this position you will manufacture Electro-mechanical products to meet production plans, ensuring assembly, inspection and test is carried out using Lean methodology. You will be working to specifications and instructions, using the correct tools, methods, and equipment. Meeting exacting standards expected by the customer. Shift Pattern: Dayshift and/or Twilight as Business requires.

Monday – Thursday: earliest Start 6:45am / 8:00am, Earliest End 15:15pm / 16:30pm. Friday: earliest start 6:45am / 8:00am, Earliest End 11:45am – 13:00pm

Responsibilities
- Environment / Health / Safety: Compliance with EHS adherence to safe working operating procedures from the perspective of their own safety and safety of their work colleagues.
- Product on time delivery: Build, test, and repair of products to the manufacturing plan.
- Product Quality: Build quality of the product in line with the standard operating instructions. May be required to assist in the training of others.
- Product cost: Responsible for the efficient manufacture of the product, respecting and adhering to defined processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement where instructed, process improvement actions that will result in sustainable productivity improvements without impairing product quality, delivery performance or safety. Make proposals that you feel will deliver improvements and savings in line with GE processes and policies using the Employee Ideas Scheme.
- Productivity / Kaizen / Maintenance: Follow Lean practices, routine maintenance schedules and cleaning plans for workstations, jigs, and fixtures. Highlight any issues to the Production Support Engineer/Coordinator. Take part in 5S Audits and maintenance plans. Support Kaizen workshops and continuous improvement activities as required.
- On time Delivery KPI / FTPR KPI: Contribute to on-time delivery and first-pass success as defined by KPIs.
- 5S / Housekeeping: Maintain a tidy area, put tools in their proper place, and keep working areas free from hazards. Conduct daily 5S inspections as required.
- Time registration: Perform time registration accordingly to guidelines, clock on and off at correct times, and respect working hours. Communicate task completion according to guidelines.
- Identify near misses and unsafe conditions, and act and report to immediate mentor, team leader or supervisor.
- Organise work to achieve individual objectives while demonstrating commitment to meet team objectives.
- Meet the skill set required for specific operations as per company standard.
General
As and when required support any other duties that may be required to support the manufacturing facility. Be adaptable to all future business requirements. Support GE Beliefs.
