Overview

GEโ€™s Power Conversion business, part of GE Vernova, provides electrification systems that are critical to customersโ€™ power and energy needs for their high-performance applications. We work with major energy, maritime and industrial organizations, helping to enable a transition to energy efficiency and decarbonization, including through our specialist motors, drives and control technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and sustain Lean initiatives across the facility to improve efficiency and reduce waste
  • Coach cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and cost-saving actions using Lean methodologies
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and quality departments to optimize processes and ensure product reliability
  • Deliver Lean training and coaching to employees at all levels, promoting a culture of continuous improvement
  • Use data-driven insights and KPIs to measure and evaluate the impact of lean initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in Lean in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor\’s degree of an engineering discipline from an accredited university
  • Strong analytical and inquisitive thinking skills, with the ability to make data-driven inferences
  • Strong oral and written English language skills
  • Comfortable commuting to the Rugby facility on a daily basis

Desired Characteristics

  • Proficiency in MS Office-Excel, other software knowledge beneficial (Statistics, simulation, Kanban, etc.)
  • High coordination skills and hands-on approach
  • Enhanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Strong manufacturing knowledge with deep understanding of shopfloor management
  • Lean training certifications, with a preference for Kaizen, Six Sigma, and Agile methodologies
  • Experience in Lean management in the electromechanical sector
  • Ability to develop and motivate a high-involvement team through commitment to meeting customer and organizational demands
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders
  • High speed and focus on responsibility
