GE Vernova is looking for an exceptional Technical Trainer to join our Field Services team based in the United Kingdom.
Role Overview
The Technical Trainer is responsible for delivering high‑quality technical training to wind technicians primarily at the Nigg site, while also supporting Dogger Bank training operations near the Port of Tyne. It involves running classroom sessions, providing theoretical instruction, leading practical hands‑on training, and guiding learners through technical documentation to ensure they develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence required for safe and effective field operations across large‑scale offshore wind projects.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality classroom, practical, and on‑site technical training at Nigg, ensuring technicians gain the skills needed for safe and effective field operations.
- Lead hands‑on training within the nacelle environment, providing real‑world context and building technician confidence in critical tasks.
- Collaborate closely with the GE Vernova training team to ensure full training coverage and provide flexible support at the Port of Tyne when required.
- Contribute to remote training delivery, maintaining consistency and engagement across both in‑person and virtual learning formats.
- Uphold training quality by maintaining accurate documentation, assessments, and records while ensuring all materials meet GEV standards.
- Foster strong participant engagement through clear instruction, practical demonstrations, and supportive coaching.
- Help sustain a dynamic, safety‑focused training environment that supports the development of a skilled workforce for major offshore wind projects.
Qualifications
- Holds a solid technical background as an electrician or electrical engineer, with essential experience in the wind industry.
- Able to deliver theoretical, classroom, and practical training, including hands‑on instruction in technical environments.
- Communicates clearly and confidently, with strong presentation skills and the ability to engage diverse groups of learners.
