Lead or be part of a large & complex full turnkey HVDC or AC Systems on‑shore and/or off‑shore project, including design, supply, construction, electro‑mechanical installation, testing, and commissioning works. Manage the project team comprising project management and other functions (engineering, project cost control, finance, EHS, quality, construction & contracts management) to drive and control project activities in strict adherence to processes and procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Partner with all project stakeholders, accountable for delivery to specification, budget, on time, and customer satisfaction.
- Measure, optimize, and report key operational and financial indicators in accordance with governance and pacing cycles.
- Support settlements & claims, analyze root causes of deviations, and foster continuous improvement.
- Take an active part in communication & implementation of EHS plans, ensuring consistent approach in decisions impacting EHS, representing the company in related legal aspects.
- Identify all parties with vested interest, balancing needs and impacts to achieve win‑win outcomes in line with contractual obligations.
- Implement risk management plan, track risk activities through project life cycle, score risks, and communicate them.
- Understand financial status of the project, demonstrate financial management, and utilize resources efficiently.
- Manage overall scope and oversee scope of each participating entity, ensuring interfaces and overlaps are understood.
- Ensure specific activities, including proactive claim management, are identified and performed to deliver project deliverables.
- Validate delivery model, commitments, risks & opportunities of tenders.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Engineering degree or equivalent with 10–15 years of relevant experience.
- Business understanding (market knowledge, international exposure & awareness).
- Proven experience leading high‑value turnkey projects, influencing others and leading large teams.
- Project management experience in an international environment (preferred) with multi‑disciplinary teams, multiple interfaces, and high local content.
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- Effective problem identification and solution skills.
- Proven analytical and organizational ability.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
