Join our team at GE Vernova - Grid Automation as an Electrical Engineering Technical Lead! In this dynamic role, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing protection and panel design, acting as a bridge between our customers and GE Vernova’s technical community. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).
Roles and Responsibilities- Lead Technical Projects: Drive technical project activities, lead customer kick-off meetings, and ensure successful project execution from design to commissioning.
- Customer and Project Management: Participate in project risk reviews, manage project budgets in terms of man-days allocated to the engineering tasks, and provide regular progress updates.
- Design and Documentation: Analyse customer specifications, write project technical documentation, and validate technical solutions with customers.
- Technical Oversight: Specify software and IEDs, manage technical execution planning, and ensure adherence to GE Vernova safety standards.
- Issue Resolution: Address technical deviations, manage fault reports, and support site engineers remotely or on-site.
- Testing and Commissioning: Lead Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Tests, and coordinate with commissioning teams for major site milestones.
- Training and Support: Provide project-specific training to customers, support tendering and commercial teams, and ensure customer satisfaction through professional project execution.
- Educational Background: BSc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Demonstrated experience in protection and electrical design engineering.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of protection functions, electrical scheme, and cubicle design (Micom Multilin etc.).
- Design Expertise: Proficient in designing and configuring protection relays and network studies. GE Vernova Substation Automation Solutions: Preferred candidates will have proven knowledge in this area.
- Travel: Ability to travel locally and globally, with a valid driver’s license.
- Automation and Protection Systems: In-depth knowledge of automation electrical scheme, detailed design of electrical protection relays (LV, MV & HV), and network studies.
- Interpersonal and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Independent and Flexible: Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment with a flexible approach to working hours.
- Communication and Teamwork: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to cooperate across departments.
