Our Installation and Commissioning Managers are essential to the successful preparation and financial oversight of system deployment activities. They provide technical leadership and resource coordination, ensuring installations are properly budgeted, resourced, and organized before execution begins.
Key Responsibilities- Budget Management & Financial Oversight: Monitor, control, and manage installation and commissioning budgets throughout the preparation phase; develop comprehensive cost estimates for equipment, labor, logistics, and contractor services; implement financial controls and budget tracking systems in accordance with company guidelines; support cost optimization initiatives and efficiency improvement plans in collaboration with teams from other business units.
- ITO/Sales Team Collaboration & Estimating: Work closely with ITO (Installation, Testing & Operations) and Sales teams to develop accurate installation and commissioning estimates for customer proposals; provide technical expertise and cost analysis to support the sales process with realistic installation timelines and resource requirements; collaborate with Sales teams to translate customer requirements into detailed installation and commissioning cost breakdowns; support bid preparation by providing accurate subcontractor estimates and third‑party service costs; review and validate installation scope definitions with ITO teams to ensure estimate accuracy and completeness; participate in customer meetings to explain installation methodology, timelines, and cost justifications.
- Resource Coordination & Planning: Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams specializing in power systems, power conversion, automation, control, and mechanical integration; organize resource allocation and scheduling to ensure installations meet customer, contract, quality, and regulatory requirements; oversee procurement planning for installation equipment, tools, and commissioning resources; arrange training and certification requirements for engineering teams before deployment.
- Subcontractor & Third‑Party Coordination: Develop and maintain relationships with qualified subcontractors and third‑party service providers; create accurate subcontractor estimates for specialized installation and commissioning services; evaluate subcontractor capabilities and cost competitiveness to support Sales team proposals; coordinate with third parties during the estimating phase to ensure accurate pricing and scope definition; establish preferred contractor frameworks to streamline the estimating process.

- Engineering Coordination & Support: Provide technical leadership, advice, and assistance to multidisciplinary engineering teams; support the Service Engineering Manager in planning and progressing all installation‑related activities; coordinate with customers, suppliers, and third parties during preparation phases; oversee contract negotiations and vendor selection processes for installation services.
- Marine Offshore – Budget planning and resource coordination for maritime power systems;
- Naval – Military and defense installation preparation and financial oversight;

- Switchboard/Protection – Electrical protection system preparation and coordination;
- Level 2/Substation Automation – Advanced automation system budgeting and preparation.
- Essential Requirements: Experience in an engineering leadership environment, particularly in installation and commissioning roles; experience in application engineering in power engineering, electrical drive systems, grid‑connected systems, and automation; proven experience in specifying and costing components such as drives, motors, transformers, and switchboards; experience in design and system integration working on complex multi‑disciplinary installations.
- Sales Support & Estimating Expertise: Strong background in technical sales support and bid preparation activities; experience working with Sales and ITO teams to develop competitive and accurate proposals; knowledge of subcontractor markets and third‑party service provider capabilities; understanding of customer requirements translation into technical and commercial solutions.
