Job Description Summary
At GE Power Conversion and Storage we provide electrification solutions, enabling customers to power their energy-intensive operations, and to improve energy efficiency. We are recognised for high-performance ship electric power and electric propulsion systems, energy management and automation and control systems as applied globally across the marine, energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.

We have a great opportunity for an experienced, self-motivated EHS Manager for the Project and Service organisation, with a drive for improvement, ability to make decisions and influence their stakeholders. In this role you will report to the EHS Leader and work closely with project and field service teams. There will be requirement for international travel.
Responsibilities
- Actively work with the business to change and improve the HSE culture
- Challenge the current norm and practices and focus on identifying improvements
- Provide support and guidance to stakeholders on continual improvements
- Analyse HSE data and decide on tactical programmes
- Travel to fixed facilities and customer sites to conduct audits/inspections
- Manage and support risk reduction of high-risk operations, such as electrical safety, work at height, lifting operations etc.
- Liaise with external agencies such as Local Authorities, HSE and the EA
- Undertake incident investigations and root cause analyses
- Manage & maintain ISO14001 and ISO45001 accreditation
- Review and update the company’s EHS Policies and Procedures
Qualifications
- Hold a NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ or NVQ L5 in Occupational Health and Safety or Equivalent
- Ideally be a member of IOSH and working towards CMIOSH
- Have experience with maintaining ISO14001 & ISO45001 (auditing qualification not essential)
- Experience of creating strong, positive HSE culture
- Have a pro-active and hands on approach to working
- Ability to provide guidance/ make decisions
- Pragmatic approach and ability to work with employees at all levels
