Working within the manufacturing team to ensure the assembly of products to meet daily targets whilst maintaining the required quality standards, ensuring assembly and inspection is carried out using the correct tools, current build, and correct process documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Production Target achieved, this may require shift requirements.
  • Responsible for the build quality of the product, in-line with the standard operating instructions.
  • Responsible for the routine maintenance / cleaning of the workstation.
  • Check to ensure all equipment is compliant – BV Inspections, Calibration, PAT.
  • As & when required support any other duties that may be required to support the manufacturing facility.
  • Carry out 5S inspections.
  • Ensure EHS best practice and fully align to GE EHS guidelines.

The Person:

  • Good general standard of education.
  • 5 years’ experience in the light mechanical assembly environment or similar.
  • EK Permanent Work Permit.

Skills and Experience:

  • The ability to work and communicate as part of a team.
  • Understanding of ‘Lean manufacturing’ techniques would be advantageous.
  • Understanding of Kanban & Flow / Pull Techniques would be advantageous.
  • Mechanical/Electrical aptitude would be advantageous.
  • Requires manual handling and ergonomics knowledge.
  • Able to work to standard written operative procedures in an autonomous manner.
  • Knowledge of VAV and LOTO.
  • Good Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivating, proactive and results driven approach.
  • Able to work to deadlines with good quality.
  • Proficient in the English language, written and verbal.
