Engineering in connection with the manufacturing process. Influences the quality of one's own work and the work of others in the team. Performs operational/technical standard tasks that are generally subject to instructions and workflows. There may be some scope to change the order and complete tasks/duties based on changing work situations.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing engineering tasks that do not require a 4-year degree.
  • Mainly tactical tasks. This does not include general administrative work.
  • Expands knowledge of one's own technical discipline to implement policies/strategies.
  • May include support roles with specialised technical knowledge; ongoing acquisition of knowledge and skills at a higher level.
  • Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to perform own work.
  • Good knowledge of how the work of one's own team integrates into other teams and contributes to the area.
  • May possess some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework.
  • Solves problems in situations where good technical knowledge and judgement are required within established procedures.
  • Consults senior team members on issues outside defined instructions/parameters.
  • A position at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be necessary to lead a junior team.
  • Develops strong customer relationships for customer-facing roles and serves as an interface between customers and GE Vernova.
  • Explains technical information to others.

Basic Qualifications

This role requires basic experience. The level of knowledge is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
