GE Vernova is looking for an exceptional Senior Account Manager National Grid & UK, to join our Grid Solutions Commercial and Tendering team based in Stafford, UK. We are seeking a Senior Account Manager National Grid & UK to join our growing commercial team in North and South Europe. Reporting to the GSI NSE Commercial and Tendering Leader, the NSE Account Manager National Grid & UK is responsible for ensuring that the NSE Region secures a significant share of the growing market in the UK, specifically with National Grid, in coordination with the GSI Sales & Tendering teams, Marketing teams, and Global Account Managers.
In this client-facing role, you will manage and develop client relationships, ensuring the delivery of tailored electrification solutions that meet our clients' unique needs. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in account management and a deep understanding of the UK market.
How You Will Make a Difference:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, addressing value for opportunities.
- Act as a strategic advisor to clients, understanding their electrification and decarbonization goals and aligning our solutions to meet their business objectives.
- Identify, develop, and establish strategies aligned with the GEV Electrification Business and GSI NSE strategic objectives.
- Map customer stakeholders’ structure, identify decision makers, and define relationship strategy to guarantee business positioning.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts and lead commercial negotiations.
- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify new business opportunities and expand the client base.
- Develop, structure, and deploy a sales plan for the covered market region and/or segment to maximize business results in volume and profitability.
- Identify, evaluate, support, and develop strategic alliances and partnerships for cost-efficient and profitable business development.
- Track and report on account performance and pipeline using Salesforce CRM, providing strategic insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Lead the end-to-end account management process—from onboarding to renewals—ensuring a seamless and engaging customer experience.
- Support the Commercial Operations Team in all contract negotiations, maximizing commercial conditions and mitigating risks.
Skills for Success:

- The capability to build and influence stakeholder relationships at the highest levels of an organization.
- An understanding of the UK energy market, particularly within transmission, distribution, or industrial electrification.
- An expertise in end-to-end B2B account management and successful contract negotiation.

A formal education and subsequent university Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering are nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.
This is a permanent position based in our Stafford office with a hybrid working model, allowing flexibility to work from our offices and home.
