Civil Engineer in Creswell

Systems Engineering is a cross-functional technical discipline that focuses on an approach, mindset, and process. It encompasses all activities that consider both the business and technical requirements of customers, aiming to provide a quality product that meets user needs. The discipline involves implementing a solid process for designing, building, and optimising systems, which includes identifying and quantifying system requirements, creating alternative system design concepts, conducting design trade-off studies, selecting and implementing the best designs, and ensuring that the design is properly integrated and executed. This process spans from concept through production to operation.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting the planning, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally occurring environment, including tasks such as soil mechanics, seismic analysis, and foundations for equipment supplied by GE Vernova.
• Specifying design and requirements for all underground and above-ground construction works and specifying the contractor for these (levelling, foundations, slabs, etc.).
• Conducting cost estimates, constructability assessments, and knowledge of local building laws and standards, as well as applying principles of construction steel, building, and geotechnics.
• Performing analyses and designs of industrial structures that withstand static and dynamic loads.
• Utilising in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline along with analytical thinking and technical experience to implement policies/strategies.
• Leading small projects with low risks and resource requirements.
• Explaining information and developing skills to move team members towards consensus on topics within the field.

Basic qualifications:

• This role requires advanced experience, comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
