In this dynamic role, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing control systems, acting as a bridge between our customers and GE’s technical community. Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead Technical Projects: Drive technical project activities, lead customer kick-off meetings, and ensure successful project execution from design to commissioning.
- Customer and Project Management: Participate in project risk reviews, manage project budgets in terms of man-days allocated to the engineering tasks, and provide regular progress updates.
- Design and Documentation: Analyse customer specifications, write project technical documentation, and validate technical solutions with customers.
- Technical Oversight: Specify software and IEDs, manage technical execution planning, and ensure adherence to GE Vernova safety standards.
- Issue Resolution: Address technical deviations, manage fault reports, and support site engineers remotely or on-site.
- Testing and Commissioning: Lead Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Tests, and coordinate with commissioning teams for major site milestones.
- Training and Support: Provide project-specific training to customers, support tendering and commercial teams, and ensure customer satisfaction through professional project execution.
Required Qualifications
- Educational Background: BSc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Demonstrated experience in control system engineering.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of SCADA communication protocols, Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and database applications.
- Design Expertise: Proficient in designing and programming electrical control systems, including SCADA/HMI, cybersecurity, network equipment, IEC61850, Firewalls, and more. GE Vernova Substation Automation Solutions: Preferred candidates will have proven knowledge in this area.
- Travel: Ability to travel locally and globally, with a valid driver’s license.
