Job Description Summary

The AI Product Lead at GE Vernova plays a crucial role in the development and execution of AI‑powered products that transform business processes. This role is essential to our mission of pioneering AI‑driven innovation and enhancing user experiences across the enterprise.

The Senior Product Manager works across GE Vernova and with the AI Portfolio Manager to identify, prioritize, and build out AI products. These products focus on delivering improvements and value through the lens of the Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) framework, measuring the impact of AI initiatives.

As a GE Vernova accelerator, GE Vernova Advanced Research drives strategy and leads research & development efforts to execute on the business’s mission to help power the energy transition.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Product Ownership and Development: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including business, engineering, and research, to develop and execute product roadmaps that align with strategic objectives.

Roadmap Input: Provide input, alongside the Portfolio Manager, to build the product roadmaps.

Technical Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, IT, and designers to ensure the development of robust AI solutions, maintaining technical rigor and introducing new methods for verifying success and identifying risks.

User Experience: Focus on delivering exceptional user experiences by understanding and addressing user needs in AI applications.

Cross‑Business Coordination: Support the coordination of AI applications to drive improvements and innovations across Vernova.

Data‑Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to measure product performance and make informed decisions. Define and monitor metrics and KPIs to ensure the success and impact of AI initiatives.

Post‑Launch Support: Monitor product performance post‑launch, gather user feedback, and iterate on product features to enhance value delivery.

Third‑Party Solutions: Oversee the integration of AI products from third‑party software suppliers and determine the best technology fit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, with 10+ years of relevant professional experience.

Preferred

Business Acumen: Ability to integrate business strategy with technical initiatives.

Leadership: Proven leadership in managing cross‑functional teams and projects.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with diverse stakeholders and occasionally C‑Suite executives.

Experience building and deploying AI applications.

Problem‑Solving Skills: Analytical skills to identify and solve risks and challenges.

Technical Proficiency and Data‑Driven Mindset.

Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY or Cambridge, MA.

Accelerated Immersion for Senior Talent: For Cambridge, MA based resources, this position includes a required three‑month (hybrid) onboarding residency at the GE Vernova Advanced Research Center in Niskayuna, NY. This immersive program allows senior talent to establish a strong technical foundation, collaborate with our premier scientists and engineers, and align with our mission to lead the energy transition from the epicenter of our innovation hub. Travel, housing, and living stipend provided.

Benefits

Salary range: $152,400 - $254,000 per year. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
