Overview
Automation Design Process Manager role at GE Vernova. Lead a team of design engineers and system engineers during OTR and Tender/Offer stages; release requests for quotations and specifications for Subcontractors; manage ITO team during Tender and ensure tender requirements are fulfilled. Perform FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing). Provide technical support, training, and documentation for the design team and end users. Maintain customer interface throughout the project life cycle and SAT.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Support a team of design engineers and system engineers for implementation during OTR stages.
- Lead ITO team during Tender stage; fulfill tender requirements during the offer stage; release requests for quotations and specifications for subcontractors.
- Perform FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing).
- Provide technical support, training, and documentation for the design team and end users.
- Manage customer interface during the project life cycle and SAT.
Desired Skills And Experience
- +10 years or more experience in HMI development and DCS platforms.
- Good experience in multiple SAS and different types of applied protocols.
- Understanding of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, ProfNet, Ethernet/IP).
- Ability to lead and design different project architectures based on customer cyber security requirements, including centralized cyber security servers and networks.
Required Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Power or Communication Engineering, Electronics, Automation, or related field.
- Demonstrated/relevant experience in Engineering/Technology & Customer Automation Design in Transmission and/or Distribution industries (other similar industries would be considered).
Desirable
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Willingness to travel during project life cycle when required.
