Job Description Summary
Purpose of the Job: L3 support on current and legacy production products
Role & Responsibilities
- Support internal audits and enforce adherence to documented policies and procedures to uphold quality of designs.
- Continual improvement of documented policies and procedures, creation of new procedures where necessary.
- Close liaison with Hardware Engineers within the R&D Hardware CoE Team, and other engineering departments such as software and applications will be expected.
- Coach and mentor other team members for general departmental activities and personal development.
- Lead departmental weekly team meetings for review of blockstock, inventory control, project work, PSR completion, workload review and KPI’s adherence.
- Manage and complete actions assigned from the Engineering assistance management tool (JIRA).
- Maintain data collection tools.
- Assist with other additional tasks at the manager's discretion.
- Lead manufacturing investigation issues and promote changes through the Test Engineering team.
- Support PCB and Product build during NPI actively lead during introduction.
- Propose and validate problem solutions.
- Analyse the results to provide monthly failure trend analysis.
- Escalate issues using the correct internal processes, lead teams during resolution of issues.
- Support action plan to investigate key identified issues.
Requirements
- Degree qualified in relevant discipline with 4 years+ of experience preferred.
- HND in Electronics and 10 years of experience accepted.
- Computer literate.
- Proven experience in fault finding and root cause analysis, lead investigations and complete full implementation to the timescales provided by the business.
- Detailed knowledge of existing and future test philosophies.
- Proven high level experience and knowledge of electronic hardware, ability to understand circuit designs, propose support solutions and diagnose to component level.
- Ability to liaise technically with other technical departments if escalation to L4 is required.
- Proven experience in PCB assembly problems and solutions & leading cross-functional teams for problem solving.
