About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for the structural design, analysis, and detailing of High Voltage substations ranging from 400kV, 132kV, to 33kV. The ideal candidate will focus primarily on the design of steel structures, including equipment support structures, gantries, towers, and other key substation components, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, safety regulations, and project requirements. The engineer will also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient, safe, and optimized structural solutions for complex substation projects. Qualifications and Experience Education : A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or a related discipline) is required. Professional Registration : Attaining Chartered Engineer status (CEng) with a recognized institution such as the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) or the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) would be advantageous but is not mandatory. Experience : A minimum of 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in structural design is typical, with significant proven experience specifically within the high‑voltage transmission and distribution utility sector.
