The Senior Project Engineering Manager is responsible for delivering the HVDC Product Delivery Group (PDG) scope of work for a project, ensuring adherence to cost, time, and technical requirements, while aligning with operational processes. This involves managing PDG resources efficiently and collaborating closely with PDG functional leaders to ensure successful project delivery.

This role oversees HVDC PDG engineering activities, manages the engineering budget, defines quality plans, implements change management, and supervises all engineering activities related to the project, including work by suppliers and subcontractors.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver the HVDC PDG scope, ensuring adherence to project schedules and integration with other project functions.
  • Conduct regular reviews of project progress, assessing time, cost, quality, and risks.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive project reports monthly.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources and compliance with established processes through collaboration.
  • Manage technical interfaces and communication with partners, customers, and contractors.
  • Achieve project KPIs such as on-time delivery and budget adherence, ensuring quality of partner documents.
  • Lead solution engineers to deliver solutions per specifications, enforcing change policies.
  • Guide and motivate the project team to meet project scope and manage daily activities.
  • Assess risks, develop mitigation plans, and maintain the risk register.
  • Participate in customer technical meetings as needed.
  • Verify design effectiveness against contract requirements and optimize costs during design phases.
  • Integrate EHS requirements and conduct hazard identification sessions.
  • Support subcontracting, sourcing, and procurement processes.
  • Assist during site preparation, construction, and commissioning stages.
  • Organize data acquisition for O&M and as-built documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with quality procedures and address non-conformances promptly.

Desired Profile and Experience

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience, including 2 to 4 projects as Project Engineering Manager managing medium-sized projects in EPC environments within T&D, Power Generation, or Oil & Gas sectors.
  • Fluent in English with strong presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex problems.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
  • Effective decision-making, teamwork, and strategic planning skills.
