Job Description

The Offshore Wind Pre-Assembly Supervisor is responsible to supervise the fulfillment of day-to-day operations for OFW Tower pre-assembly activities. This role involves ensuring work is carried out efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. The supervisor will coordinate teams mechanical and electrical technicians to facilitate a smooth assembly and preparation of components onshore ahead of the offshore installation.

You will be part of the Project Management Office (PMO)—Marshalling Harbor department— reporting directly to the Site Pre-assembly Manager.

The position will be based at the project site in Inverness, UK starting January 2026. Part of the assignment will be located at Able Seaton, ahead of January 2026 for onsite training and blending with the site team. Employee looking for a job in rotation are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise tower pre-assembly activities within the Marshalling Harbour including mechanical assembly of tower sections, mechanical and electrical completion works and troubleshooting to achieve Customer & GE OFW goals and objectives.

Support the development and ensure the implementation of Tower Pre-Assembly method statements. Support Continuous Improvement activities.

Supervise daily the Pre-Assembly subcontractors’ site mobilization, demobilization and execution of the M&E pre-assembly activities.

Write the DPR (Daily Progress Report).

Monitor and control the issuance of Mechanical & Electrical certificates and checklists in accordance with the Quality plan and procedures.

Ensure that highest level of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards are enforced and applied.

Participate to internal and external daily and weekly progress meetings.

Participate and perform daily toolbox talks and/or pre-lift meetings prior to the start of any operations.

Monitor with the subcontractor the availability of tooling, material, spares and PPE used for the operation is available, incl. certificate (when applicable).

Support the monitoring of Subcontractor personnel’s training and certifications, adequate for the task, valid and documented.

Collect all documentation provided by the subcontractor at the end of an operation and update the daily management system accordingly.

Advise of any major issues, especially those affecting EHS, or schedule aspects of the contract to the Harbour Manager.

Undertake other tasks as may be requested by the PMO.

Qualifications:

Experience in pre-assembly or construction supervision, preferably within the offshore wind or renewable energy sector.

Experience in supervising Mechanical and Electrical teams activities.

Willing to work in a multinational and multicultural environment.

Certifications in mechanical and/or electrical engineering and energization sequence of LV lines.

Desired Characteristics

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University or equivalent experience/knowledge

Familiar with standard site safety regulations

Passionate and motivated

Excellent ability to communicate at all levels

Good inter-personal skills to bridge between customer representatives, unionized workers and various subcontractors working on site

Good English and excellent PC and Microsoft Office computer skills

Preferred GWO certified
