Job Description
Main Purpose
Taking responsibility for effective commercial control of assigned projects and be the principal contact with the client, the successful candidate will co-ordinate the activities of all Project Team Members, including all functions; supply chain manufacturing, engineering planning and quality. This is to ensure that the project quality, time, and costs are effectively managed. You will ensure that all contractual requirements are understood and fulfilled and trading, invoicing and cash flow is executed as per the business forecast.
Duties &Responsibilities
- Ownership for the on-time-delivery and commercial success of assigned projects.
- Leading and co-ordinate all communications and negotiations with the client post contact award.
- Reviewing all live projects in line with the One OTR requirements of the company and produce required reports.
- Certifying that “Target Out of Book” action plans are created and managed for each project .
- Guaranteeing delivery of customer contracts are compliant to the requirements of the contract (technical specification, scope and time of delivery) leading to full customer satisfaction and business objectives of gross margin, revenue recognition and cash are met.
- Ensuring that customers are treated with respect and in a professional manner, that all commitments are met, and that in general, customer satisfaction is achieved through customer satisfaction surveys.
- Complying with all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements
- Reporting and following up on actions, implementation and results regarding trading, billing, cash, risks and opportunities.
- Managing project changes and variations to sales order BOM and drawings using the ECN process to ensure a timely notification to all stakeholders.
- Supporting the Project Management Leader on any issue, where the position holder’s skills and competencies can be reasonably applied.
- Supporting the tendering process to ensure that commercial and project management issues are effectively addressed in the proposal.
- Follow standard works in delivery set by business and the department in line with one OTR.
Experience And Qualifications
- Equivalent experience in any related Engineering & Project Management qualification
- Ability to manage and control projects in a manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of applied Contract Law.
- Basic knowledge of electrical motors and generators would be desirable.
- Excellent communication skills are required to liaise at all levels, both with customers and within the Company.
- Competence in the use of SAP, MS Office and Project Management Tool skills is advantageous
- Flexibility to travel to any customer or supplier site when required to fulfill the requirements of the position.
