Job Description Summary

GE’s Power Conversion and Storage business, part of GE Vernova, provides electrification systems critical to customers’ power and energy needs for high-performance applications. We collaborate with major energy, maritime, and industrial organizations to enable energy efficiency and decarbonization through specialist motors, power electronics, drives, and control technologies.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Work as an Electrical Field Engineer or Electrical Maintenance Supervisor in industries such as steel, oil, gas, petrochemical (onshore/offshore), paper, port materials handling, or mining, preferably as qualified ex-service personnel or with MV/HV electrical test equipment.
  • Deliver field services fulfilling customer requirements in EHS, Quality, and Delivery.
  • Expand technical knowledge and expertise aligned with recognized industry standards.
  • Perform administrative tasks including safety plans, risk assessments, method statements, site inspections, technical reports, materials requisitions, customer reports, timesheets, and expenses.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Power Generation experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Technical skills in power distribution, drives, controls, and automation.
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • High energy, self-motivated, capable of achieving results with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Willingness to travel up to 80%.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work efficiently without direct supervision.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance.
