The Assembly / Test Operative will be working as part of the Global Supply Chain Organisation. The Assembly and Test Operative’s main responsibility will be the assembly and test of Dissolved Gas Analysis instruments, working in a timely manner, maintaining product quality to the relevant standards. This role will also be expected to include warehousing and dispatch operations.
The Assembly / Test Operative will work in a flow environment based on Lean principles and will be required to cross-train facilitating flexible work practices.

Job Responsibilities:
- Perform manufacturing/assembly operations and various other tasks by following procedures, bills of materials, work instructions, schematics, and process aid sheets.
- Work alongside team leads, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency.
- Maintain a high level of quality in line with company policy and procedures.
- Sustain the required daily production output level.
- Support the complete supply chain from manufacture to assembly, basic testing, packaging, and shipping.
- Be safety focussed with knowledge of safety and EHS awareness.
- Seek opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate behaviours in line with GE Vernova way.
Essential Criteria:
- Manufacturing experience in electrical, electronic, or mechanical assembly, or warehousing and dispatch operations.
- Experience of working to deadlines, prioritising work and meeting targets.
- Have a willingness to learn and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Computer literate, with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages
- Flexibility to move between work areas as required and to work flexible hours as demand requires.
- Proven track record of providing reliable, consistent and high quality service
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge of lean principles including single piece flow, 5S and standard work
- Experience of PCBA test, basic fault finding and repair.
- Ability to solder terminals, connectors, cables and components, assemble cable assemblies, crimp cables and connectors.
- Participate in and contribute to improvement activities and kaizen events.
- Hold a forklift licence.
