We have a great opportunity for a Senior Material Supply Delivery Leader to join our busy team at our facility in Cheltenham. In this role you will be leading a team of Material Fulfilment Leaders and Specialists (approx 23 indirect and 5 direct) to deliver sustainable supply across all product platforms to multiple Customers and Programs. You will play a crucial role in developing and communicating supplier performance metrics and delivery commitments that align with business needs. This position requires collaboration across various functions within the organisation to address and resolve issues. A proven history of leading and building teams in a growth-oriented environment is essential.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of material delivery leaders in pursuit of business goals, strategies and initiatives.
- Drive accountability for operational excellence across the fulfilment organisation.
- Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve processes and service to the organisation.
- Implement standard work and operating rhythms to ensure that the business performance and service to our customers is optimum.
- Build and develop the team in support of such goals.
- Lead others to find creative solutions to address complex problems that may impact the organisation.
- Evaluate quality of information received and question conflicting data for analysis.
- Use multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
- Engage the business leadership team to develop and execute fulfilment processes that deliver enhanced productivity.
- Accountable for metrics to demonstrate and drive individual and team performance.
- Work with Supplier Development and Commercial Sourcing teams to build on strategic suppliers.
- Understand and drive lean initiatives internally and with suppliers.
- Maintain, enhance and drive improvement of supplier on time delivery metrics.
- Closely monitor supplier performance to plan and work with suppliers to manage any required recovery plans/actions.
- Attract and retain talent alongside lead professional direct reports.
- Develop expertise within the function to grow the reputation of Sourcing within the organisation.
- Establish improved health reviews with the senior leadership team.
Required Qualifications:
- This role requires significant experience in Sourcing & Supply Chain Management.
- Knowledge level is comparable to a master's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge and experience.
