Roles and Responsibilities
In the 12-month Electrical & Electronic Engineering Placement, you'll gain invaluable skills and experience within the Test System Department or Electronic Hardware Department.
The Test System Department designs and develops state of the art custom test hardware and software, test harnesses and documentation for all up-and-coming avionics products being designed and built within our facility. Working closely with third party manufacturing houses to produce TE to our requirements. We also design and manufacture a variety of smaller test boxes, breakout boxes and test cables to support NPI development.
Within Electronic Hardware Department you'll make a difference by applying your digital and analogue knowledge to active projects and gain invaluable skills and experience in various design and development activities related to power distribution and control products.
You will be guided by structured goals and objectives and will have responsibility to deliver on inspiring projects supported by your People Leader and team around you. We will guide you throughout the year to ensure you make the best of your GE Aerospace experience. Your People Leader will offer coaching and mentoring, and you will be provided with the opportunity to connect with other placement students across the UK.

This placement role is an intended pipeline to our Edison Engineering Development Progamme (EEDP) based in Cheltenham. Towards the end of the placement year, we will open graduate applications for our current placement students with an aim to securing a role prior to the end of their placement year.
Meaning, you can head back into your final year at university with a graduate job offer in hand. All you need to do is secure a 2:1 degree or above!

Qualifications/Requirements
- Currently studying an Electrical/Electronic Engineering related B achelor's or integrated Master's degree
- On course to achieve 2:1 degree or above
- To be in your penultimate year of study and returning to education post placement
