As the GE Healthcare MultiâVendor Ultrasound Field Engineer, you will be responsible for meeting the daily service repair needs of the customer's equipment and driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence. You will also develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with customer representatives. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing all south of England and Wales sites.
Responsibilities
- Advanced, total systemâlevel troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and service repair on OEM nonâGE designated equipment (including Philips, Siemens, Canon, and Samsung).
- Daily interface with doctors and technicians on equipment status issues. Act to ensure satisfaction of primary customers and maintain communications to ensure resolution and followâup.
- Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
- Maintain tools and test equipment properly and ensure they are calibrated.
- Identify sales opportunities, communicate to account team, and assist in the growth and direction of business in the geographic area.
- Work as a member of the local team to provide efficient and costâeffective service delivery to all accounts within the assigned area.
- Responsible for warranty and Planned Maintenance Service (PMS) contract cost control, completing all administration tasks on time and ensuring timely completion of Field Modification Instructions (FMIs) and PMS inspection documentation.
- Teach and assist other Field Engineers on advanced and complex troubleshooting and technical fixes, playing a leading role on complex and multifunctional system fixes.
- Lead in complex and multifunctional installations and rooms.
- Maintain effective quality systems and programs compliant with ISO 9001 and the GE Service Quality Policy Statement.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Qualified to National Diploma or BâTech Degree level or equivalent.
- Technical analytical skills.
- Solid field services experience with OEMâtrained ultrasound systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of one or more modalities.
- Proficient in English.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- High work standards and quality, with initiative and motivation.
- Plan and organize work effectively.
- Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer skills; deal tactfully and effectively with differences of opinion, influencing rather than directing.
