Field Service Engineer – Diagnostic Imaging (CT, PET & Nuclear)

Location: UK Midlands (Birmingham-based with UK travel)

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of CT systems across the Midlands, with flexibility to support wider UK requirements.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex system-level faults across multi-technology platforms.
  • Build strong relationships with healthcare professionals to ensure equipment uptime and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide remote diagnostics and support from a home office, dialling into systems to troubleshoot and resolve issues where possible.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, service centres, and commercial functions to deliver exceptional service.
  • Manage tools, spare parts, and travel logistics efficiently.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and within deadlines.
  • Travel approximately 35–40% of the time, with occasional overnight stays.
  • Attend international training courses as required.
  • Be flexible to support overtime, short-notice callouts, and weekend shifts when needed.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Field service experience (medical imaging experience advantageous but not essential – full training provided).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently.
  • Experience with remote connectivity tools and diagnostics.
  • Good IT skills, including familiarity with software installation, virtual machines, and troubleshooting.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Fluent in English.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with additional medical imaging modalities.
  • Knowledge of DICOM and IT/network troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Project management experience.
