The Global External Engagement Excellence Lead sets the strategy, processes, and capabilities for high‑quality, compliant Medical engagement activities across PDx GMS. This role builds and educates the teams in relation to the Medical Strategic Account Planning framework, elevates Field Medical Excellence, and operationalizes medical insights, coordinates Medical Information, key Congresses, publications, and governance so PDx GMS delivers credible science, measurable impact, and trusted partnerships with external stakeholders.

Core responsibilities

  • Strategy & operating model: Set the external engagement excellence roadmap and annual plan (incl. budget), aligned with PDx Medical strategy and evolving trends (incl. AI-enabled ways of working).
  • Field Medical Excellence: Define standards, ways of working, and competency model; build and deliver role-based training (KOL profiling, engagement planning, interaction quality, insight capture).
  • Medical CRM & insights: Own vendor selection and implementation; drive adoption, data quality, dashboards, and an end-to-end insights process (capture > synthesis > prioritization > governance > actions).
  • Scientific communications: Enable impact-based congress strategy and execution; lead strategic congress planning/coordination and internal tracking.
  • Publications: Oversee global publication strategy and annual planning; manage vendor/partner execution and performance tracking.
  • Medical governance: Optimize external material review processes; support claims library and process/SOP simplification (incl. opportunities for AI enablement where appropriate).
  • Medical Information: Coordinate and continuously improve global Medical Information services; guide regional/country teams and run operating cadence.
  • Capability building: Deliver scalable training and toolkits across PDx Medical (account planning, field excellence, insights, congress, publications, med info).

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in life sciences or equivalent experience (e.g., PharmD/PhD/MD/MSc).
  • Preferably 8–12+ years in Medical Affairs / Field Medical / Scientific Communications / Excellence roles, ideally with global or multi-region scope (diagnostics/pharma/med‑tech).
  • Demonstrated experience building and scaling Field Medical Excellence and/or Medical Strategic Account Planning programs.
  • Proven ownership of Medical CRM, and insights implementation (requirements, validation/UAT, change management, adoption).
  • Track record in key global congress and publication coordination.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating Medical Information services across countries.
  • Strong understanding of compliant scientific exchange and external engagement governance (incl. data/privacy requirements).

  • Process design and governance: SOP-minded, audit-ready, continuous improvement orientation.
  • Data and systems fluency: comfortable with CRM/analytics, dashboards, metrics, and insight-to-action tracking.
  • Vendor management: selection, contracting input, delivery oversight, KPIs, and performance optimization.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills; able to train, coach, and influence senior stakeholders.
