We are looking for a candidate with communications experience to join GE HealthCare's Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) business. This is an opportunity to gain broad communications experience and skills in a dynamic environment.

With 4000+ employees serving 130 countries, PDx is the leading global supplier of contrast media and molecular imaging agents used to enhance medical imaging exams. Used throughout all major disease area diagnostic and treatment pathways, PDx products support four patient procedures every second.

Reporting to the PDx Communications Manager, the Communications Specialist will play a key role, primarily driving internal communications and employee engagement as well as supporting and delivering communications campaigns and initiatives that enhance and protect PDx's global reputation, contributing to carrying out research and developing internal and external collateral and content, while supporting media activity and monitoring, and executive communication.

Key responsibilities/essential functions might include:

  • Partnering and collaborating with wider GE HealthCare Communications and GE HealthCare teams, as appropriate, to ensure consistency and accomplish key priorities for the business segment.
  • Drafting and overseeing communications plans, projects and timelines, including helping to drive content creation.
  • Identifying engaging stories and creating and managing communication messages and deliverables for external and internal audiences, including articles, press releases, videos, intranet stories, infographics, social media posts, media pitches, and other content, as required.
  • Working with other colleagues to facilitate measurement of communications plans and activities to drive continuous improvement.
  • Researching and preparing executive briefings.
  • Assisting with video and audio scripting, filming, editing and distribution.
  • Supporting regular and ad hoc in-person or virtual events, working with communications tools and platforms that help deliver compelling and seamless audience experiences.
  • Monitoring the news for media coverage relevant to our businesses.
  • Development of slide presentations/other content for internal and external use.
  • Managing distribution lists, developing digital communications templates.
  • Maintaining consolidated communications calendar, aligning with Marketing and key internal stakeholders.
  • Owning the overall PDx communications measurement strategy, establishing key performance indicators for activities, gathering metrics and evaluating to inform ongoing improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Marketing or a related field.
  • Professional communications experience an advantage.
  • Tech savvy with skills in video editing tools, design knowledge and strong PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and planning skills.
  • Able to simplify complex topics into compelling, accessible content.
  • Clear thinking/problem-solving.
  • Results-driven with a collaborative, proactive, positive 'can-do' approach.
  • Ability to plan, implement and execute on plans, to timeline.
  • Fluent English (oral and written).
