As an Ultrasound Sales Specialist within General Imaging and Women’s Health Ultrasound for GE Healthcare, you will be responsible for the sales performance of the business within an assigned geographical area. You will own the sales number and growth strategy whilst supporting your customers along with the clinical team, using your experience to protect and grow market share. There will be a need to work very closely with your team in the region including the clinical applications and other sales specialists, as well as the wider GE Healthcare team such as service colleagues, OTR, Marketing, PCS and Imaging colleagues.

ResponsibilitiesIncrease orders, sales, margin, and share through world-class clinical consulting, strong customer relationships, and lifecycle support. Developing in-depth knowledge of sales territory, product lines, markets, sales processes and customer groups. Uses prior experience and acquired commercial expertise to execute policy/strategy. Most decisions are within a defined framework, but some autonomy in the final decisions for a project, product line, market, sales process or customers. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
- Building relationships with key clinicians/decision makers and developing a thorough understanding of their departmental needs.
- Monitoring competitive activities and competitors’ field staff activities; reporting on a regular basis to management.
- Providing feedback to internal departments on market trends and information gained during customer visits.
- Utilise CRM tools to manage opportunities and accurate forecasting, as well as order processing and demo planning.
- Working collaboratively with other members of the sales team, clinical teams and other functions to grow the business.
- Attending conferences and trade shows.
- Managing your own diary and planning your time effectively to meet deadlines.
Bachelors Degree or selling experience in a medical, healthcare or technical field or Life Sciences field. Medical Imaging/Life sciences sales experience or Clinical Ultrasound experience (NHS OR Private). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organisational skills. Strong presentation skills. Able to travel. Valid motor vehicle license. Must live within territory.
Desired SkillsPrevious experience in sales and/or clinical applications of Ultrasound. Previous experience selling capital goods to the NHS or private sector.
