Job Description Summary
During a time of exciting growth we are recruiting for an Export Administrator to join our team at Dowty Propellers (a GE Aerospace company) onsite at our newly built manufacturing super site in Brockworth, Gloucester. Dowty Propellers are responsible for designing, making and maintaining cutting-edge blades that are essential on multiple civil and defense platforms, from hovercraft, to civil jets and military transporters.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the Export country compliance processes are followed.
- Work closely with International Trade Compliance Leader to develop processes to assure compliance with all country requirements.
- Verify shipping documentation is in line with HMRC export entry.
- Ensure record keeping is up to date and easily accessible.
- Raising of monthly HMRC reports.
- Awareness of operational metrics to assure compliance with all import/export procedures.
- Prepare/maintain reporting of current status/progress of all export activity.
- Monitor carrier performance through KPIs.
- Responsible for any other administrative duties and customer service as needed.
- Attend and support team daily operating rhythms with departmental concerns and present performance when required.
- Support the shipping team if/when required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience in an import/export or logistics role would be highly advantageous; however, if you have administrative experience within a manufacturing environment, we would be very interested in hearing from you.
