Job Description Summary
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Civil Portfolio Programs Team as a Customer Program Leader. Responsible for working with the Senior Program Manager to support one of our Civil Programs. In this role you will foster a one team\” approach to customer satisfaction and will lead a cross-functional team to deliver all contracted program deliverables, advocating for strong project governance, whilst driving opportunities to maintain or improve the business case.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Primary contact point of assigned customers and be responsible for the customer relationship.
  • Responsible for delivery of the business case. Driving actions to achieve programme, business, and financial targets for responsible products/support contracts.
  • Establishes Standard Work patterns to ensure delivery of Contractual obligations, export/regulatory compliance, company policies & processes and business requirements
  • Ensure contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Statement of Work (SOW) are monitored, delivered, and reported
  • Organise and attend meetings and conference calls between customers and GE for any resolutions about unit operations, technical issues and/or business discussions.
  • Drives effective and efficient communication to the stakeholders. Builds relationships both internally and externally and integrates the voice of the customer into program activities. Develop and maintain a high level of customer communication
  • Maintain constant contact with customers, obtain first-hand input on operational issues, and customer\’s intentions in terms of repairs, upgrades, equipment/parts replacement, and maintenance in general.
  • Establish, document, communicate, and manage program milestones and responsibilities including management of financial reporting responsibilities including maintenance of program costs/forecasts. Ensuring appropriate business system inputs are maintained with accurate information at all times
  • Manage & Communicate program projections/forecasts concerning schedule and budget
  • Project & task planning and reporting
  • Identifying and implementing Process improvements (Kaizen)
  • Facilitate the coordination and allocation of resource to deliver program milestones and deliverables
  • Accountable Programme focal for assigned Customer proposals, working with the appropriate Bid Team and process.
  • Lead obsolescence management on the product line – monitor & conduct LTB, bridge buys, use of alternatives, product re-design
  • Support business audits (internal and external) as required
  • Use Sales Force to conduct and present long term program sales forecasts and to track new opportunities
  • Support cost out activities
  • Support management of sustaining budget – forecasting work and monitoring actuals\”
  • Support transfer of work – working with the customer, sourcing, manufacturing, engineering and supplier quality to ensure smooth, compliant transitions

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Strong experience of customer management
  • Knowledge of program management disciplines including managing and forecasting budgets, schedules, and financial analysis; managing and negotiating contracts with demonstrable commercial experience
  • Proven history of fostering teamwork and collaboration across multiple functional areas in competing priorities

Desired Characteristics

  • Analytical thinking and commercial experience to execute policy/strategy.
  • Knowledge of international import/export requirements in a highly regulated sector.
  • Lean / Six Sigma knowledge / experience
  • Experience working in an electronics design/manufacturing organisation.
  • Experience with ORACLE business systems
  • Experience with SalesForce.Com business systems
  • Commercial/Contractual Negotiation experience.
