The Senior Services Manager is accountable for end‑to‑end delivery for our UK based global customer, and the performance Based Logistics (PBL) contract, including day‑to‑day business execution and performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Serving as the primary point of contact for our major UK customer, this role is directly responsible for the customer’s overall experience and contributes to the UK Army’s AH‑64E operational readiness outcomes. As the European fleet grows, this leader may support additional countries and programs, so lots of opportunities to develop here within GE Aerospace.
In this role, you will deploy standard work and robust operating mechanisms to meet both customer and business needs, lead a cross‑functional, matrixed team, manage complex issues across functional areas, support long‑term planning, and drive contract renewal and business development activities. This role may be assigned additional tasks and/or support other countries and PBLs as required.
Key Responsibilities- Customer leadership and contract execution: Own the customer interface for the UK Apache PBL, including KPI management, capture and execution of ad‑hoc tasks (outside PBL coverage), response to Request For Quotes (RFQs), and leadership of contractual interactions. Ensure an excellent end‑to‑end customer experience, with clear communication, responsiveness, and disciplined follow‑through.
- Program governance and operational reviews: Lead regular program reviews with the customer (status reviews, program management reviews, and technical reviews). Communicate fleet readiness status, key risks, and defined mitigation and recovery plans.
- Cross‑functional leadership (internal and external): Coordinate cross‑functional execution across a matrixed team (Customer Program Manager, Field Service Representative, Product Support Engineering, Repair Engineering, Materials/CAM, Sales, Services). Align execution to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost targets while improving operational readiness outcomes.
- MRO performance management: Manage Maintenance Repair Organisation (MRO) partner relationships and performance. Lead engine/component evaluations, repair proposal coordination, and weekly repair status reviews to drive on‑time delivery and predictable turnaround.
- Materials and provisioning leadership: Lead materials demand forecasting and provisioning planning in coordination with internal materials teams. Define provisioning requirements and support engine and component shop visit readiness and execution.
- Commercial leadership and growth: Lead contract renewal and commercial activities, including Salesforce opportunity management, cost buildup, pricing activities, and proposal development within defined guidelines. Identify and mature business development opportunities aligned with customer needs and GE Aerospace strategy.
- Financial and contract performance management: Own the Contract Margin Review process and profitability metrics for assigned scope. Ensure contract flow‑down, compliant execution, and development of program plans related to contract performance processes. Review invoices for assigned accounts and drive timely cash collection. Achieve productivity goals by contract and/or product.
- Other: Perform additional duties as requested. Travel within the UK and internationally as required (expected ~20% travel). Work from the Cheltenham, UK office 2‑3 days per week.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Customer or Program Management Service Management background.
- Possess or be able to obtain UK Security Clearance.
- Willingness to travel within UK and internationally (approx. 20%).
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics, or business.
- Lean / continuous improvement experience (Flight Deck knowledge a plus).
- Experience managing long‑term customer service agreements.
- Experience in fleet management and logistics.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; effective in a matrix environment.
- Demonstrated analytical capability to evaluate problems, drive root cause thinking, and resolve issues.
- Proven program/project leadership with strong execution rigor and accountability.
- Experience in working with senior military officers.
