We're looking for a Senior Contracts Manager to lead contracts on some of our highest-priority, most complex programs. You'll own the full contract lifecycle — from proposal through negotiation, execution, and closeout — and act as a trusted advisor to teams across the business.

You’ll bring strong contract law knowledge, sharp commercial judgement, and the confidence to draft, redline, and negotiate terms that protect the business while keeping deals moving. You'll work closely with Program Management, Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, HR, and Legal, helping them understand risks and find practical, compliant solutions.

What you’ll do:

  • Be the go-to contracts expert for our most critical programs
  • Manage contracts end-to-end: solicitation, drafting, negotiation, change management, closeout
  • Review and negotiate terms, spot risks, and recommend how to handle them
  • Advise leadership on contract risk and commercial impact
  • Lead or support negotiations with customers and partners
  • Build strong relationships across internal teams and external partners
  • Solve complex contract issues with sound judgement
  • Apply FAR/supplement knowledge where relevant, or bring strong commercial/international contracting experience
  • Help improve how we do contracting, including Lean process improvements
  • Travel occasionally, domestically and internationally, as needed

What you’ll bring:

  • Solid experience in contracts management, negotiation, and administration in a complex business
  • Strong grasp of contract law and terms and conditions
  • Track record of reviewing, redlining, and assessing risk on agreements
  • Experience advising senior leaders on contract and business risk
  • FAR/government contracting knowledge is a plus; strong commercial/international experience also valued
  • Great communicator who can influence across teams without formal authority
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and solving tricky problems

Nice to have:

  • Experience with US Government, International Direct Commercial Sale, or Civil contracts
  • High energy and a team-first attitude
  • Project management skills — planning, documenting, and executing programs

Flexible Working: GE supports and encourages flexible working arrangements, where possible, and recognises the benefits to employees of having a positive work-life balance. The UK Contracts team is based in the Cheltenham office.

Total Reward: At GE Aerospace we understand the importance of Total Reward. Our flexible benefits plan, called FlexChoice, gives you freedom, choice and flexibility in the way you receive your benefits, as well as giving you the opportunity to make savings where possible. As a new joiner to GE we are pleased to be able to offer you the following as default in your benefit fund, which you then can tailor to meet your individual needs:

  • Pension
  • Bonus
  • Life Assurance
  • Group income protection
  • Private medical cover

Security Clearance: Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role. Please note that in the event that BPSS clearance cannot be obtained, you may not be eligible for the role and/or any offer of employment may be withdrawn on grounds of national security.

Right to Work: Applications from job seekers who require sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, under the applicable UK immigration rules as may be in place from time to time, it may be that candidates who do not currently have the right to work in the UK may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled candidate who does not require sponsorship is available to take up the post.
