Job Description Summary

The Senior Compliance Specialist – Investigator (Compliance Investigator) works with a team that is developing and implementing an overall strategy for internal compliance investigations.

The Compliance Investigator will independently investigate cases involving alleged violations of law or GE Aerospace policy, working with stakeholders in Legal, Compliance, HR and other areas to conduct investigations of policy concerns raised through the open reporting system.

  • Roles and Responsibilities
  • Lead and conduct independent investigations.
  • Carry out prompt, thorough, and objective investigations into alleged violations of law or company policy.
  • Handle cases involving GE Aerospace’s Spirit & Letter policies, including matters concerning respectful workplace, finance, conflict of interest, quality, sourcing, EHS, information technology and security, intellectual property, improper payments, competition law, and more.
  • Review and assess complaints and allegations and develop and manage investigative plans and strategies.
  • Conduct interviews of concern raisers, witnesses, and subjects.
  • Conduct investigative research, including review and analysis of emails, data files, invoices, forensic analysis, and GE Aerospace policies & procedures.
  • Provide oral briefings to senior leadership and functional owners on cases, and identify appropriate corrective actions.
  • Draft reports to ensure investigations are clearly and properly documented.
  • Maintain client relationships in the face of conflicting demands or directions and provide evidence‑based conclusions and recommendations.
  • Understand all applicable legal and policy requirements relating to investigations, including employee interviews, data privacy, labor and employment obligations, and monitor changes in laws and policies.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college and relevant experience in compliance investigations within a highly regulated business sector.
  • Professional experience in conducting workplace investigations.
  • Legal authorisation to work in the UK is required.
  • Desired Characteristics
  • Law degree, post‑graduate degree in business or another relevant field, or an audit or quality background.
  • Prior experience in Compliance, Law, Audit, Quality, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Proven analytical and evaluation skills.
  • Proven ability to prepare, present, and discuss findings and recommendations at a senior level, producing clear and concise reports.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving skills.
  • Understanding of UK employment grievance and/or disciplinary rules.
  • Fluency in English mandatory; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
